Accredited hair academy now provides recognized qualification in Centurion

One of the few SETA accredited hair academies in South Africa, La Louve, is opening a new school this month in Centurion. The school will be under the auspices of The Hair and Beauty Hub, owned and operated by Anita Baatjies.

La Louve provides a qualification that is accredited by both SETA and the UK based City and Guilds. The course can be completed as fulltime student over one year or as a part time student over two years. On the completion of the NQF 2, 3 and 4 levels in conjunction with the requisite hours students may complete their trade test at Olifantsfontein.

The academy has 5 SETA accredited assessors/facilitators as well as Wella master colour specialists. Regular overseas visits allow the staff to keep abreast with the latest hair styles and cutting techniques. The academy also has ethnic hair facilitators that ensure that students are exposed to a wide range of techniques and styles.

We value students as unique individuals and are interested in students that that are willing to work hard and do their best. The school is bilingual and is paired with a mentor to assist their development. If you are creative and have a passion for hair then we have the programme for you. We also have a class for second year NQF level 3 & 4 students who are interested in completing their qualifications. We also facilitate placement at other salons to allow students to do informal work. Places are limited due to the fact that we only accept 8 – 10 pupils per class. Courses are presented as follows:

Full time Course: Monday – Friday 8:30 am to 4 pm

Part time Course: Monday – Tuesday 8:30 to 4pm

Part time Course: Saturday 8:30 am to 2pm plus 1 evening class 5pm to 9pm

Part time Course: 2 evenings per week 5pm to 9pm
